Dr. Rick T. Murphree is an accomplished business leader with a track record of excellence and proven ability to significantly scale and strengthen organizations across a variety of industries. Earlier in his career, Dr. Murphree served admirably as a decorated Lieutenant in the United States Army. After his service to the country he worked as a manager for Remedy Staffing where he provided fiscal and budget oversight. Next, Dr. Murphree entered the field of postsecondary education as a faculty member at Boise State University College of Business and Economics where he provided undergraduate and graduate level course instruction for students. In addition to his work in the classroom Dr. Murphree also served on several committees to further student learning outcomes and in building partnerships for the University.
As a college administrator, Dr. Murphree has turned around struggling schools and enhanced student enrollment by improving the quality of education provided and putting students at the center of instruction. With his work as a regulator with the U.S. Department of Education, he has been on over 200 accreditation and compliance visits to postsecondary and training programs over the last 20 years. In this role he has been responsible for working to complete audits, issue findings, compliance, accreditation and outlining clear areas of improvement.
Rick is an alum of the CEO Academy at Wharton School of Business and has an education doctorate in Organizational Leadership and Development
Dr. Murphree is the proud father of 2 adult children and 1 high schooler and lives in Anacostia. In his spare time he enjoys scuba diving and fitness.
